KDF Celebrates Successful Program Funded by Fifth/Third Bank Grant

In March 2022, Fifth/Third Bank awarded Kids Discovery Factory a $1,000 grant to support the Museums for All initiative and private programming opportunities for Safe Passage. The grant funded access to the weekly Early Explorers play and programming hours for 124 individuals from six different communities between the months of March and September. The grant also supported staff training and costs associated with exhibit rentals and museum staffing for Safe Passages summer programming.

Emili Uden, Executive Director states, "We are so grateful for Fifth/Third Bank's support. We believe that STEAM play and programming should be available to all kids in our community, regards of income or family situation. Fifth/Third Bank's support of the Museum for All initiative and Safe Passage private programming helped us extend our reach to include families who might not have easy access to STEAM play and learning experiences."

Kids Discovery Factory will continue to offer free admission to on-site programming during Early Explorers and Homeschool hours. Families who receive SNAP or WIC benefits gain free entry when they show their EBT card at the front desk. Any individuals or businesses who would like to support the Museums for All initiative or fund free private programming opportunities for Safe Passage families are asked to contact Emili Uden at Emili@KidsDiscoveryFactory.org. Or you can make a donation through the website at: Donate to Kids Discovery Factory :: Powered by Aplos.
